Yorkshire Poem – Dominic Bel Geddis

Dominic Bel Geddis
Is a bounder and a cad
He lives in Pontecarlo
In his two up, two down pad

He drives a Nissan micra
Wears nice suits and shirts and ties
The faintest whiff of old spice
Silver hair and steely eyes

He loves a married woman
Who goes by the name of Jayne
Her husband is enormous
Magnum Strongthrust is his name

Now Magnum didn’t like the fact
That Dominic loved their lass
So he left her in Cas-vagas
And set off to kick his ass

Dominic and Magnum met
Outside the pub that night
Both staring at each other
And preparing for the fight

They kicked and punched and pushed and pulled
All nasty, mean and vicious
This was a battle to the death
For Magnum Strongthrust’s missus

Before too long these angry men were panting, gasping, wheezing
And on this cold October night
The air outside was freezing

So common sense came over them
And by the light of the moon
The decided that they’d fight again
But not until mid June
