There’s something for everyone at Ripponden Christmas Market

Now in its third year, Ripponden Christmas Market will be held on Saturday 1st December from 11-5pm with its old favourites and some new surprises too.

The Market starts with the arrival of Father Christmas on a vintage tractor at the head of a 12-strong parade of tractors carrying festive characters at 11pm.  The parade begins at Heathfield School on Oldham Road and will end at Bridge End, Elland Road.

Over 48 stalls will be at the Market with its usual wide-ranging offerings.  Foods to satisfy all tastes will be on sale from pie and peas, to paella, to Christmas Dinner burritos, and for children hot dogs and corn dogs, sweets and treats.  A wide range of drinks to tantalise the tastebuds is also on offer: from traditional drinks on sale at The Old Bridge Inn, to mulled gin, craft beer and of course non-alcoholic and children’s drinks too.   Stalls selling festive gifts, home interest items and jewellery and clothing will also feature at the market.

A selection of entertainment will also run throughout the day: brass bands, school choirs, Halifax Sax, Punch & Judy, face painting and a Christmas carol sing-a-long – with a breath-taking laser show and live saxophone performance by Ellie Sax as its Grand Finale at 4.30pm– don’t miss this!!

Located at Bridge End and in The Old Bridge Inn car park and running at the same time as St Bartholomew’s Christmas Fair, the Market organisers have again arranged for road closures to be in place for the duration of the event.

Check the website www.rippondenfestival.uk, the Ripponden Festival Facebook or Instagram pages, and posters for more details.
